Public hearing called for proposed Columbia Street hotel

KAMLOOPS — Council has granted a public hearing to a plan to build a new hotel in downtown Kamloops.
The hotel is planned for the 300-block of Columbia Street, the site of the current Travelodge.
According to a report to council, the owner wants to demolish the current hotel and build a six-storey hotel with some commercial space included.
