CHASE, B.C. — The Chase Heat’s dream season has come to a crashing halt.

The Beaver Valley Nitehawks scored four unanswered goals in the second period and held on to win Game 3 in Chase 5-2, sweeping the KIJHL Final 3-0.

It’s the second Kootenay League title for the Nitehawks, which defeated the Kamloops Storm in six games in 2014. Beaver Valley now moves on to the Keystone Cup, the Junior B Western Canadian championships, which the Nitehawks won in 2014.

The 100 Mile House Wranglers are the defending champion, winning 3-2 in overtime last year.
