Washington Capitals sign Garrett Pilon

KAMLOOPS — Garrett Pilon has signed his first pro contract.

The 18-year old Blazers forward has been signed to the standard 3-year entry level contract by the Washington Capitals.

Washington took Pilon in the third round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Pilon was fourth in team scoring with the Blazers this season with 20 goals and 45 assists for 65 points in 67 games.

Once the Blazers season is over Pilon will report to Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League.
