KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have a 39-year old Falkland man in custody after the Street Level Drug Unit conducted enforcement in the 300 block of Tranquille Road earlier this month.

Corporal Jodi Shelke says the enforcement took place March 15th and 16th.

She says through investigation, they found sufficient evidence to arrest the man for trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Shelkie says police seized more than 20 grams of cocaine, over $3000 and cellular phones.

Shelkie adds "Any time drugs are removed from the streets, it makes our community safer. The work of these RCMP officers in identifying, targeting and arresting the people who supply drugs will have an impact on all citizens."
