Balcers named WC top rookie, Ingram all-star

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers forward Rudolfs Balcers is the Western Hockey League Western Conference finalist for rookie of the year.

Balcers led all Canadian Hockey League rookies with 40 goals this season.

Balcers will be up against Aleksi Heponiemi of the Swift Current Broncos for league rookie.

Kevin Davis from Kamloops, who plays for Everett, is the west conference finalist for most sportsmanlike player.

Blazers goaltender Connor Ingram has been selected a western conference second team all-star for the second year in a row.

Carter Hart from Everett is the western conference first team all-star goaltender.
