KAMLOOPS, — Parents concerned about how to keep their teens safe from drugs are encouraged to attend a free information session put on by the Kamloops RCMP Monday night.

Kamloops RCMP Corporal Jodi Shelkie says conversation topics will include current trends in teen drug use, tips for keeping teens from using drugs, and what to do if your child or teen is already experimenting or addicted to drugs.

“Even if right now your child is in grade eight or nine and you feel ‘oh they’re not involved with that’, now’s the time to make sure that you’re informed with all the information you can get and keep your child that way,” said Shelkie. “It’s good for anybody.”

RCMP members and mental health and addictions counsellors will be on hand to answer parents questions after the presentation.
