Missing snowboarder at Sun Peaks found uninjured

KAMLOOPS — The search for a missing snowboarder at Sun Peaks has ended on a good note.

TK’emlups Rural RCMP received report of a missing 19-year-old man Alberta man just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday night.

RCMP say it’s believed the man somehow got separated from his friends on the mountain, with his last lift ticket scanned almost seven hours prior around 11 a.m.    

A search team was brought in to help however, it was resort staff who found the man uninjured at the bottom of the mountain near the Elevation Chair Lift just after 9 p.m.
