KAMLOOPS — February proved to be a relatively quiet month for new construction activity in Kamloops.

According to the City of Kamloops, 14 residental building permits were issued last month, compared to 40 permits in the same month last year.

While commercial permits did see an increase from 7 to 13 this year the city says most of that work was for smaller projects, with the weather being blamed for the overall construction slowdown.
