Suspect sought in stolen card, spending spree

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking for clues after a fraudster went on a spending spree using a stolen credit card.

Police say the card was inside a wallet that was taken from an unlocked vehicle in Sahali January 7.

It wasn’t long after that the card was used in a spending spree totaling more than $7000.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says surveillance photos were obtained from one of the stores where the card was used, and show the suspect as a white man.

At the time, he was wearing a black hoodie bearing a white logo on the front, a black ball cap also bearing a white logo, a brown jacket and blue jeans.
