Hawks blank Blazers 4-0 at home on Family Day

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers had a packed house on Monday afternoon for B.C. Family Day, but came up short in a 4-0 loss to the Portland Winterhawks.

The Blazers came out strong in the first period, but Cole Kehler stopped everything they put on goal. Keoni Texeira scored the lone goal of the period as the Winterhawks led 1-0.

The Winterhawks had a strong second period as Keegan Iverson got an early power play goal and Joachim Blichfeld scored a late goal to open up a 3-0 lead.
