Kamloops mother succumbs to injuries from Fraser Valley accident

KAMLOOPS — A family spokesman says a freak accident involving a Kamloops family last Sunday has turned tragic.

Matt and Anna Grandia were helping at an accident scene Sunday between Hope and Chilliwack when the two were struck by an out-of-control vehicle.

The two were rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Pastor Dave Fields says Anna passed away last night, with her family by her side.

According to a statement prepared by Fields, the family is thankful for the support and prayers they have received.

The statement also says the family is optimistic Matt Grandia can make a full recovery.
