VERNON, B.C. — A pair of Kamloops-area residents are in hot water after a truck was stolen out of Vernon this week.

RCMP say the pickup truck was taken from a hotel parking lot in Vernon late Tuesday night.

Officers in Kelowna patrolling near a problem residence in that city happened upon the truck and discovered it was stolen.

Police followed the vehicle to a gas station in Rutland and took its occupants into custody.
