KAMLOOPS — An Edmonton woman who was severely injured in a horrific 2009 crash near Kamloops has been awarded more than $4 million in compensation.

On March 1, 2009, Leslie Warick was one of four people returning to Edmonton from a ski vacation in Sun Peaks.

While driving on the Yellowhead Highway, their vehicle was struck by an oncoming semi-truck.

Three people in Warick’s vehicle were killed, including her husband of 27 years, and the crash severed Warick’s spinal cord, leaving her a paraplegic.
