KAMLOOPS — Police would like to track down the driver of a silver van that hit a person operating a motorized wheelchair.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says it happened last Thursday afternoon, just before 3:00, behind Thrift City in the 300-block of Seymour Street.

"The van had backed up and hit the wheelchair. The driver of the wheelchair did not receive any injuries, but there was damage to the scooter. The driver of the van did get out and speak with the driver of the scooter, but left before sharing his name, or vehicle information," said Shelkie.

Shelkie says police want to clarify details of what happened in the incident.

If you know the driver of the van, or know anything about the incident, call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
