Calgary, AB:  The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack wound up a weekend Canada West women’s volleyball series with the host University of Calgary Dinos with a split.

After winning 3-1 on Thursday (Jan 6), the Pack lost 3-1 to the Dinos on Friday night (Jan 6) at the Jack Simpson Gym.

The scores were 23-25,27-25,25-21,28-26.

For the second straight night, TRU was led by USport and Canada West player of the year Iullia Pakhomenko (5th year, outside hitter, Donetsk, Ukraine) with another 31 kills.  She had 62 through the two matches. The 31 kills in both sets move Pakhomenko into second place in the Canada West record books for kills in a single match.  (The record is held by Genevieve Lamarre who had 34 in a game Feb 7, 2004 between Manitoba and Saskatchewan).
