KAMLOOPS — RCMP Serious Crimes Unit looking into the early morning death of a man on the North Shore.

In a news release, Sergeant Karen Delorey says they received a complaint of a fight just before 3:00 AM in the 400 block of Tranquille Road.

The report indicated there was a fight in progress and a man was unconscious on the ground.

Police and ambulance crews responded, and found a 42-year old man at the scene. Efforts to revive the man failed, and he passed away.

Right now, police are in the early stages of their investigation, and there is no indication of arrests being made yet.

Sergeant Delorey says they know there were witnesses to the fight, and are hoping those people come forward to help police determine what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
