KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops International Bantam Hockey Tournament begins today with 30 teams in two divisions playing 14 games.

The international flavour is supplied by teams from Asia and Europe.

In the first game this morning the Kamloops Tier two Junior Blazers will play the Hong Kong Typhoons.

This is the first time KIBIHT has had a team from China.

It's also the first time there has been a team from Italy in the tournament.

That team from the northern Italian city of Vipiteno will take on the Kamloops Tier One Blazers tonight at McArthur Island.
