KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP’s annual ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ event was a success once again thanks to the generous spirit of others.

RCMP, BC Sheriffs and community volunteers set up at Walmart and Toys-R-Us on Saturday where they stuffed 12 police cruisers full of new toys, children’s clothing, blankets, chocolate, retail gift cards and other goods more to go towards Christmas Amalgamated.

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says the cause is an important one for Kamloops RCMP.

“Christmas Amalgamated is a great organization who helps all kinds of families around Christmas,” said Shelkie. “Last year they helped 2,000 families. It’s a time of the year when I think everybody feels fortunate for what they have and we want to help those who don’t have as much.”
