Royal Inland Hospital Foundation launches holiday campaign

KAMLOOPS — The Royal Inland Hospital Foundation launched its annual holiday fundraising campaign today, Dec 8.

The foundation kicked off their campaign by sharing the stories of patients who have been treated at RIH, highlighting the hard work and dedication of healthcare professionals.

In order to perform the important work they do, hospital staff require specialized equipment that is often funded by community donations.

In addition to giving a donation, hospital supporters can dedicate and ornament to a loved one.

RIH Foundation Chair Eric Davis said the campaign typically raises around $60,000.

“I work at a bank, so we always want to do more, so we’d sure like to do better than $60,000 this year,” Davis said. “The money goes to the area of greatest need, unless you decide you want to specify, you know, if cancer, or pediatrics is important to you, you can always direct that money.”

The areas of greatest need this year are cardiology, the E.R., mental health, and pediatrics.

You can donate to the holiday campaign online. You can also call (250)-314-2325, or stop by the office at the hospital.
