Two killed in Cariboo crash

LAC LA HACHE, B.C. — RCMP say two people were killed in a head-on collision between 100 Mile House and Lac La Hache Monday.

According to investigators, a GMC pickup truck northbound on Highway 97 crossed over the centre line and into the path of a southbound Kia Soul.

The collision killed both drivers, a 55 year old man and a 48 year old man.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

Police say there were no other occupants in either vehicle.

RCMP are trying to determine what caused the crash, but say roads were snowy and icy at the time.
