KAMLOOPS — It’s comparable to Christmas for those of the Sikh faith. November 14th marked the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh religion.

The local Sikh community on the North Shore celebrated with a “Know Your Neighbour Walk”; a chance for everyone in the area to come together and meet one another, in honour of the Guru Kanak’s birth. Those who participated in the walk were invited back to the temple for a meal. The event helps honour the ideals the Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught as part of the Sikh faith.
