KAMLOOPS — Regular rock hounds rejoice! The Kamloops Exploration Group’s ever-popular Ask a Geologist event is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, at the Kamloops Museum and Archives.

Amateur geologists are encouraged to bring in their rock and mineral collections for the pros to examine. K.E.G. Outreach Coordinator Julie Dormer says of the three Ask a Geologist events they do every year, the November event is usually the most popular.

“It’s an educational, fun day,” Dormer explained. “The best part is you can bring in all your rocks and minerals and we have volunteer geologists that will actually identify them for you.”
