KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Rural RCMP have a warning for Sun Rivers residents.

Officers say since Monday, a pair of thieves have been going through vehicles in the community, regardless of whether those vehicles are locked.

Police say the two typically begin their work after 3:00 a.m., stealing items such as wallets, computers and cash.

One witness reported seeing the two using a 'slim jim' to unlock vehicles before grabbing their contents.

Reports of this activity have come in from Trillium Way, Sun Rivers Drive, Irongate Place, Ironwood Drive, Ironwood Street, Canyon Ridge and Talasa Court.

Police say the best way to avoid becoming a victim is to remove valuables from your vehicles.
