KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say a man displaying odd and destructive behaviour last night is being held in cells until he sobers up.

Officers were called to the Robo Car Wash on Tranquille Road just after midnight, with the report of a man on the roof of the business, throwing objects at cars below.

Staff Sergeant Doug Aird says when officers arrived, the man took off, but was arrested a short time later.

“He did strike a vehicle with a rock when he was up on the roof,” said Aird. “No idea was up there, if he was trying to break in or not, but he’s being held in cells until sober.”
