KAMLOOPS —  Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning this morning for the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt and for the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Peachland. 15-20 centimeters of snow is expected to fall this morning before the snowfall turns to rain this afternoon.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Drivers are urged to check the Drive B.C. website before heading out on the highways.

5-10 centimeters of snow are also expected for the Rogers Pass on the Trans Canada Highway today, but there is no special warning issued for that section of highway.
