Kamloops rinks 1-for-4 at Grand Slam Tour Challenge

KAMLOOPS — At the Grand Slam curling Tour Challenge in Cranbrook Corryn Brown from Kamloops scored one with last rock in the final end to defeat Marla Mallett 5-4 —- giving the Brown rink a split of its first two games.

In the teams opening draw Brown gave up steals of six in a 7-4 loss to Jacqueline Harrison from Mississauga.

Another Kamloops rink skipped by Karla Thompson is 0-and-2 after an 8-6 loss to Thunder Bay’s Krista McCarvelle.

Thompson also lost her first game 7-4 to Blaine, Washington’s Cory Christiansen.
