Smoke from controlled burn drifts into Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A controlled burn operation on the north side of Kamloops Lake is sending smoke through the valley and into the city this afternoon.

Kamloops Fire Rescue crews were called out to determine the source of the smoke early in the afternoon, but learned the source was a controlled burn.

Photos posted to social media show several plumes of smoke drifting up from the burn site.
