Early morning lock down at Royal Inland Hospital

KAMLOOPS — RCMP are investigating an incident that caused a lock down of Royal Inland Hospital early Sunday morning. 

Police were called to the hospital around 1:40 a.m. when a man ran into the Emergency Department saying he was being chased by another man with a weapon. 

Other witnesses stated they saw a suspect matching that description near the hospital, but police and the police dog service were unable to locate him. 

The victim was not injured and is known to police.
