Snowfall warning in Rogers Pass

Nov 2, 2016 | 6:40 AM

REVELSTOKE —  Could be a good day to make sure you have your winter tires on if you’re heading east towards Alberta. Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass on the Trans Canada Highway.

As of 6:30 AM this morning, Drive B.C. was reporting slushy, compact and slippery sections on that stretch of highway, so make sure you’re prepared if you’re heading east this morning. The snow is expected to change to rain by this afternoon.

As the weather system moves in, Environment Canada says conditions can change in a hurry.

Drivers are encouraged to check the Drive B.C. website for the latest conditions before heading out.
