MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. — Police have identified a man who was found dead in a scrap yard in Maple Ridge, B.C.

The Integrated Homicide Investigations Team says police were called Tuesday when a body was found with signs of foul play.

The victim is 53-year-old Maple Ridge resident Bradley Nielsen, who police say was last seen alive on Monday.

They say the act appears to be targeted, but the motive is unclear.

IHIT spokeswoman Cpl. Meghan Foster says police are looking to learn more about Nielsen’s background and his associates.

Police and the BC Coroners Service remain at the scrap yard and are continuing to investigate.
