KAMLOOPS — The 8-1-1 HealthLink BC line connecting Kamloops residents with primary medical care is now live.

Health Minister Terry Lake says the line is set up specifically for those who don’t have a family doctor, but need to be connected to physicians or locums who may be arriving in the city in future months.

“They will have a dedicated staff taking the particulars of Kamloops residents that need to be connected to primary care. As soon as we have those resources in place, which we are doing with our four-point action plan, they will be connected right away,” said Lake.
