KAMLOOPS — After months of road construction along Pacific Way, the main route in and out Aberdeen is officially open to local traffic.

The city’s Capital Projects manager Darren Crundwell says projects are still ongoing, and detour signs remain visible, but the main portion of the Pacific Way reconstruction project is finished.

However, while one road project is done, another is just getting started. Work on the Summit Connector has traffic down to one lane each way, as the city works on putting in a culvert that will serve as the new drainage channel in the Hillside area.

The project on Summit is expected to finish in about three weeks.
