FIELD, B.C. — One lane of the Trans-Canada Highway in eastern British Columbia leading to Alberta has reopened.

The highway was closed in both directions since Monday, when a rock slide occurred when crews were working on drilling holes for explosives 16 kilometres west of Field.

Two workers were caught in the slide and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Lindsay McPherson of Parks Canada says the highway reopened to single lane alternating traffic at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
