KAMLOOPS — A man accused of pummelling a teenager with a baseball bat after finding the teen on his Brocklehurst property this summer is going to trial.

In provincial court today, Kristopher Teichrieb was arraigned on charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon.

He's accused of beating 19 year old Jessie Simpson on June 19 after finding Simpson on his Clifford Avenue property.

The attack left Simpson in a coma.

Lawyers will return to court on Monday to set a date for trial.
