Man rushed to hospital after Paul Lake Road crash

KAMLOOPS — One man was rushed to Royal Inland Hospital this morning after a crash on Paul Lake Road.

It happened at about 10:30 this morning, about seven kilometres east of Highway 5.

That’s where a pickup truck left the road and plummeted down an embankment.

The victim was pinned beneath the cab of the truck, but emergency officials were able to free him for transport to hospital in serious condition.

No word what caused the crash.

Traffic is getting through in the area, but will be stopped later today to allow crews to recover the vehicle.
