Man dead in farming accident in Surrey, B.C.

SURREY, B.C. — A farming accident in B.C.’s Lower Mainland has left one man dead.

WorkSafe B.C. spokeswoman Trish Knight Chernecki says a serious incident at a farm in southwest Surrey involving a worker and a tractor occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.

She says the workplace safety agency, police and the coroner’s service are investigating.
