Serious injuries sustained in Valleyview train collision

KAMLOOPS —RCMP say a man who was hit by a train in Valleyview early this morning is expected to survive.

Police say the man was hit at about 6:30 a.m., near the intersection of River Road and Thompson Drive.

The man was rushed to hospital, and police now say his injuries include broken bones and a possible head injury.

It's not known why the man was on the tracks at the time he was hit.
