KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops Blazer defenseman will see his pro hockey dreams come true.

Ondrej Vala has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars.

The 18 year old Vala went undrafted in June, but won an invite to Stars training camp and impressed the club.

Stars GM Jim Nill made this comment to the NHL team’s website: “Ondrej has shown a combination of size and physicality along with the ability to play a defensively responsible game at the junior hockey level.”
