KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has confirmed former Community Safety and Enforcement Manager Jon Wilson is no longer employed with the City.

CAO David Trawin wouldn't comment on the circumstances surrounding Wilson's departure, citing corporate policy around personnel matters.

However, in a text message, Trawin confirmed Wilson's last day was Friday, September 23, and that Bylaw Services Supervisor John Ramsay has been appointed acting manager.

Trawin went on to say the city is conducting a review of the department.

"We won't be posting as we are undertaking a review of the division i.e. What is working well, what is not working well, what are we doing that we should be doing more or less of, what aren't we doing and should we do it, what should the structure of the division look like etc."

"We hope to involve staff, outside agencies we work with, etc."
