Senators say winger Mark Stone diagnosed with concussion

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators said Saturday that forward Mark Stone has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Head coach Guy Boucher said Stone will be evaluated on a daily basis.

The 24-year-old Stone had 23 goals and 38 assists over 75 games with the Senators last season. He has 53 goals and 80 assists through 178 career NHL games.

Ottawa opens the regular season by hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 12.
