KAMLOOPS — Police have the vehicle, now they need the suspect.

RCMP have been looking for a stolen red and white Ford Pickup they think might have been linked to a number of crimes in the area. The vehicle had been stolen Monday.

Yesterday afternoon, they found the vehicle abandoned at Tranquille and Desmond in Brocklehurst. RCMP Corporal Jodi Shelkie says there was noone near the vehicle when it was recovered, so police are still on the lookout for the suspect believed involved with the theft.

At one point this week, the suspect is alleged to have assaulted someone who questioned him. He's described as stocky, about 5'9" tall, but other than that, not much of a description to go on at this stage.

If you know anything about this case, call the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
