KAMLOOPS — In an attempt to prevent serious collisions along the Highway 5 North corridor in Kamloops, two kilometres of median barriers will be installed.

Barriers were installed from the Halston Connector to Chief Louis Way last year. This year the work will continue on toward East Shuswap Rd.

A contract has been awarded to Kemp Concrete Projects of Kamloops for the cost of $300,000.

Work is scheduled to take place in the evenings on Sept. 27, and Sept. 28, and motorists are asked to be cautious and watch for construction crews.
