KAMLOOPS — On Saturday, the 17th annual Children’s Art Festival was held at Riverside Park. The event is hosted annually by the Kamloops Arts Council, and gives kids the opportunity to see the wide variety of art forms available, and give them all a try.

There were also a number of different performers on the main stage at the event, including RupLoops and Bobs and Lolo;  while the weather was less than ideal, hundreds of families still braved the damp skies, and managed to stay relatively dry, thanks to the last minute erection of some tents by City Parks staff.

“We were a little disappointed when we saw the forecast,” Kathy Sinclair, Executive Director with the Kamloops Arts Council said. “With a little help from the city… we were able to get some large tents and cover everybody off.People are still coming out in droves, and it’s great to see so many kids happy, smiling faces.”
