KAMLOOPS — When the Vancouver Giants begin their season with a home game next Friday, September 23rd, they’ll be honouring another one of their former co-owners.

Gordie Howe was one of the Giants minority owners from day one, and along with another, Pat Quinn, their memories are cherished by the Giants.

They’ve declared their September 23rd home opener against Everett Gordie Howe tribute night.

Number nine will be retired, the Giants will wear special uniforms, and the game will be played with a special #9 puck.
