CFL fines Roughriders’ Mrabure-Ajufo, Eskimos’ Muamba for dangerous plays

TORONTO — Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Ese Mrabure-Ajufo and Edmonton Eskimos safety Cauchy Muamba were fined by the CFL on Wednesday.

Mrabure-Ajufo was disciplined for a high hit on Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols on Saturday.

Muamba was punished for a dangerous tackle on Calgary Stampeders receiver Bakari Grant also Saturday.

As per league policy, the amount of the fines was not disclosed.
