INVERMERE, B.C. — RCMP in southeastern British Columbia are trying to track a woman who used a young child, possibly her daughter, to help stage a robbery.

Cpl. Grant Simpson says police are always concerned when children are involved and he’s confident the woman will be identified.

He says the theft was reported just before Labour Day after the woman and child left a sporting goods store in Invermere, about 250 kilometres west of Calgary.

Staff immediately noticed several expensive items, including a GoPro camera, were missing.
