PRINCETON — A fire that temporarily shut down Highway 3 about 16 kilometres southwest of Princeton is now 75 per cent contained.

Reports of the Wolfe Creek fire started coming late Saturday afternoon.

The B.C. Wildfire Service sent six firefighters and a helicopter to the scene.

Reduced visibility due to smoke caused the highway to be closed for a couple of hours Saturday night.
