NEW INFORMATION:

Police report missing 32-year-old mother and her three children have been found safe.

EARLIER STORY:

MERRITT, B.C. — RCMP in BC are looking for the public’s help tracking down a mother and her three children.

32 year old Monica Jacob was last seen yesterday afternoon at a home on the Coldwater Reserve near Merritt.

She is believed to have her three children with her – 7 year old Lovely Jacob, 5 year old Ethan Jacob, and 1 year old Kathyanne Noltcho.

“With respect to custody of the children, this is something we don’t have full details on. This is part and parcel of the investigation. At this time though, we just want to locate Monica with her three children,” explained Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Monica has ties to the Saskatchewan area, and police believe it’s a possibility she may be heading in that direction.

“We understand that from our last info the mother and children were together. We know that she has family ties to the Saskatchewan area. It is possible, but unconfirmed that she may be traveling in that direction. At this time we don’t have an associated vehicle.”

Officers are asking anyone who sees Monica Jacob and her children, or knows where they might be, to call 911 or their local RCMP detachment.

Moskaluk says this situation does not yet qualify for an Amber Alert.

“At this time we have a missing persons matter. This does not fall under the criteria for an Amber Alert, hence why there has not been an Amber Alert that has been sent out at this time.”
