KAMLOOPS — It’s been a long wait for Westsyde to have their pool back, but the contractor has put up fencing and construction crews are starting the tear-down.
The Westsyde pool has been closed since June 2015 after the city discovered a leak in the roof due to failure in the building’s HVAC system. The project will include a full tear-down and renovation of the entire building.
The construction is being done by D&T Developments at a cost of $3.1 million and is expected to be ready to re-open January 30, 2017 in time for the Family Day long weekend.
