KAMLOOPS — The people living at a 13th Street residence that was shot at late last month have moved out of the neighbourhood.

According to Cpl. Jodi Shelkie the people inside the home had broken in and were living there illegally.

"There were up to five people living in the house, without lawful right. The homeowner gave prior warning, and yesterday the police attended the residence to secure it, and arrest anyone that may be there illegally. No one was in the house, and the house has now been secured," explained Shelkie.

RCMP found the problematic residents were at the house illegally when shots were fired on July 27th

Two firearms were seized outside the house, and stolen tires were located in the basement

No arrests have been made in the shootings, and RCMP continue to investigate.
